Web Soil Survey [Web Soil Customer Satisfaction Survey]

The WSS web soil survey offers soil data and data collected through a national, cooperative soil survey. It is run by the U.S. USDA’s NRCS and is home to the world’s largest database network for natural resources.

The database is updated and managed online in conjunction with a single authoritative soil survey data source.

The data extracted from NRCS provides online soil maps and data for more than 95% of Countries and analyzes data for the next 100 years.

Use of soil survey

It is used for the classification of soils in a given area and for geo-encoding details of their forms and other properties.

Such surveys are useful for farming, local and national planning in general. The investigation is required on the ground in a few areas such as soil quality, evaluations, and little conservation and engineering.
